Your First Visit
Here's what your first appointment looks like — so there are no surprises when you walk in.
Two types of first visit
We schedule based on what you need.
We build first visits around getting to know you, reviewing the right imaging together, and discussing options — not pushing through a checklist. When you call, we'll help you figure out which appointment type fits.
Comprehensive Exam
Plan for 2 hours.
For new patients coming in for a full re-introduction to your dental health.
This is the full new-patient visit. It includes a general cleaning, a complete set of X-rays, and a comprehensive exam with the doctor.
We'll review your imaging with you on screen, go over your history, and talk through what we find. If there's something specific going on, we'll address it. If it's a general re-introduction to your dental health, we'll start there.
Two hours gives us enough time to do this right. We're not rushing through a checklist — we're getting to know you and your mouth.
Limited Exam
Plan for 1 hour.
For new patients coming in to address a specific concern or issue.
If something specific is going on — a tooth that's been bothering you, a concern you want evaluated, something that needs attention before you're ready for a full exam — a limited visit lets us focus on that.
We'll take the imaging we need for the area of concern, examine it with you, and talk through your options. It's a focused visit with a clear purpose.
A comprehensive exam can always be scheduled from here once you're comfortable with us and ready to look at the bigger picture.
Before you arrive
What to bring.
- Insurance card If you have coverage, bring your insurance card. We'll verify your benefits before your appointment.
- Photo ID A driver's license or other government-issued photo ID.
- Current medications list A list of any medications you're currently taking, including supplements. This helps us plan your care safely.
- Relevant medical history Anything you'd like us to know about — prior dental work, health conditions, anything that affects how we should approach your care.
No judgment here
Haven't been in years? That's okay.
We'll meet you where you are. Whatever the gap, whatever the reason — we're not here to make you feel bad about it. We're here to help you figure out what comes next, at whatever pace works for you.
